I did my LASIK surgery in mid January. It cost about $4.8k for the surgery itself and medications. My experience from the pre-surgery consultation to the surgery itself was smooth-sailing. But the post-surgery care was anything but. I really wished that I saw an honest review here before deciding to commit to this clinic, and I hope that my experience can help others make an informed decision on where to do their surgery. Since the surgery, my vision has been ‘technically’ perfect, but it’s more blurry in my right eye due to the persistent dryness and some discomfort. Dr Lee said that the surgery triggered a condition called recurrent corneal erosion syndrome that was causing the dryness. I was assured that it was most likely dormant before then, which is why I didn’t have symptoms prior. He also said that this condition may take a while to resolve itself, from 6 months to a year. I was hopeful that Dr Lee could help me resolve this, or at least improve my symptoms. But I’ve been put on multiple rounds of eye drops from January till May, yet my symptoms only improved slightly. I’ve been frustrated with this, as my family has spent a lot of money on post-surgery consultations and medications (above $1.5k). But I reached my limit when he proposed undergoing another surgery called Phototherapeutic Keratectomy (PTK) to fix my problem. Though I was told that the procedure can be claimed using insurance, I was reluctant to risk putting my eyes through more stress and potential damage. I decided to seek a second opinion at Singapore National Eye Centre. I was absolutely shocked to hear that the PTK surgery was not recommended and its chances of success was only about 40%. I’ve been quite livid since, knowing that Dr Lee was suggesting another surgery that may not be effective in treating my issue. After seeking the second opinion, I also realised that while my consultations with Dr Lee were quick, it was often not as informative as I’d like. I hope that this experience can help with developing an informed decision on where to do LASIK. I think most people wouldn’t be as unlucky and run into the same issues that I have, but the amount of frustration and money spent in my post-surgery care could’ve been avoided if I went to a different clinic in the first place. I’m thoroughly disappointed by the clinic after this experience, and I won’t be coming back.
I’ve been to an eye specialist before and the Doctor was really rough, worsen the discomfot of my eye. A few weeks later I was still having pain on the same side of my eye so went to GP and recommended me to go see Dr Lee. And I was so grateful that she sent me to a very good doctor. Dr Lee was very gentle, and since he saw my anxiety coz I was so scared of what might have happened to my eye, he really comforted me and gave reassurance. It was a very pleasant experience and now my eye’s feeling better. Thanks to the amazing Doctor Lee

Visited Asia Pacific Eye Centre today and was attended by Dr. Lee Hung Ming. Truly impressed by Dr. Lee's professionalism. My son also had his lasik op done by Dr. Lee a year ago and the result was excellent.
Excellent from start to finish. Dr Lee was patient and thorough in explaining the procedure, staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The surgery was quick, and although uncomfortable it was not painful. Dr Lee was warm and reassuring throughout the procedure. I went home to rest for 2 hours and when I woke up I could see perfectly, with no pain and no stinging at all. Can not recommend Dr Lee and his team highly enough. Thank you all!
