I had a fabulous experience at Rumah Sakit Mata Masyarakat (RSMM) Jawa TImur . The staffs are helpful and friendly. I was treated by dr. Denok. She is one of the best outstanding ophthalmologists in town or even in the country. My surgery went well, painless, and fast. Dr Denok did a very good job meticulously and has a high skills of dexterity on both of her hands. Since this is a public hospital and owned by the provincial government, the costs are very reasonable. The hospital has the utmost state of the art modern equipment, qualified doctors, nice staffs, and other good facilities. The VIP lounge is very cozy. They have a dedicated drop box for VIP patients' prescription at the pharmaceutical unit. So I didn't have to wait in queue for long to get my prescribed eye drops. Unfortunately RSMM is not in partners with any insurance companies. Their only partner is BPJS. However, for the insurance inquiries, the hospital was able to provide me with any necessary documents needed that requires for insurance reimbursement, such as receipts, lab results, medical records resumes, copies of drug prescriptions, etc. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service given by RSMM, dr Denok, nurses, and all other staffs involved. Alhamdullilah, Keep up the good service.
East Java People's Eye Hospital. Well managed by experienced Hospital management. The hospital environment was very clean, neat, and beautiful. But the queue system still needs to be fixed in order not too long because most eye hospital patients are the elderly. Patient must take queue number since dawn. We recommend creating an online queue system to avoid queue since dawn. We know that RSMM is a central hospital, many patients come from outside Surabaya. Please immediately fix the queue system to be efficient.
